Advisers must be greener - AIFA

AIFA has published its green policy in a bid to persuade the adviser community to be socially responsible and increase awareness of environmental impacts.

Environmental responsibilities are a guiding principle in the trade body’s ‘Manifesto for Advice’, with AIFA revealing 68% of advisers had yet to implement a green policy, or had not thought about doing so. A recent AIFA survey also shows 42% of advisers did not have enough information to put an office green policy in place. The key points of AIFA's policy are: Staff should travel by the most environmentally friendly route where possible, using public transport as opposed to cars, taking trains in place of air travel, and avoiding unnecessary business travel All office equipment...
