Ex-Rathbone chair Ingall dies after getting trapped

The former chairman of Rathbone Brothers has died after getting trapped in a sluice gate at his home in Scotland.

Michael Ingall, commonly referred to as Micky, was found dead on 28 February at Corsock House, north of Castle Douglas in the south of the country. Ingall was chief executive at the investment manager between 1990 and 1997 and then executive chairman until 2003. He was also High Sheriff of Greater London from 2003 to 2004. The Board of Mid Wynd International Investment Trust, of which Ingall was also a director since 2005, says it is "extremely saddened" by Ingall's death.
