FTSE behind on busy reporting day

The FTSE100 has opened lower this morning on a busy reporting day for UK listed companies; the index is currently 13.60 points (0.25%) behind to 5457.10.

Pub company Enterprise Inns continues its recent sharp slide, down 3.42% to 310.50. Marks & Spencer has also opened lower on a sluggish start for retailers, 2.59 % behind to 244. Insurers Admiral and Friends Provident are also in decline, down 3.18% to 929 and 2.46% to 91.20 respectively. Oil infrastructure provider Petrofac leads the way after a 57% net income jump, currently 3.71% ahead to 614.50. Group 4 Securicor is also higher, up 3.31% to 218.50. Cairn is doing well on a fine morning for oil and energy stocks, advancing 2.12% to 2839. In New York, Wall Street gained slightly on ...
