Standard Life moves back into equities - papers 10th Oct

STANDARD LIFE'S investment chief, Keith Skeoch, yesterday declared the bull market in shares had returned, as it emerged the life insurer had made a "tactical switch" into equities in June, says the Daily Telegraph .

Skeoch's view carries weight because he was one of those who predicted a global recovery in share prices in the aftermath of the 1987 stock market crash. Standard Life Investments controls 1.8% of Britain's stock market, managing £106bn - according to current market valuations - on behalf of Standard Life's insurance policyholders and external clients.
