Advisers taking the K10 or K20 Advanced Financial Planning Certificate retirment planning exams will from April be required to sit a two-hour, two section paper instead of the previous format, says the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Past papers for the K10 (Retirement Options) and K20 (Pension Investment Options)required students answer 14 short questions to achieve a maximum 140 marks andgain a half credit per paper towards their AFPC qualifications. But changes to the exam paper structure now break the paper into Section A, containing compulsory short-answer questions, and Section B which will require candidates to complete two case studies, designed to test their analytical and application skills.
