Investec retail head takes on institutional business

Investec Asset Management has added institutional responsibilities to the retail managing director's role.

David Aird, who has held his position since 2002, takes over the institutional business from the former head, Mark Samuelson. Samuelson, who becomes managing director of the company’s Australian operations, has relocated as Investec prepares to open its Sydney office early next year. Head of UK and Ireland institutional sales Frank Doyle will also take on enhanced responsibilities. He joined Investec in 2006 from Citigroup, where he worked as head of UK & Ireland consultant relations.
