Man who shot TV on Lloyds quirky claims list

Unusual insurance claims dealt with by Lloyds TSB advisers in 2008 included a man who had shot his own TV, the firm reveals.

The individual refurbishes old guns and didn't realise the one he was holding was loaded, it says. Other cases included a man whose glasses were taken by a magpie and countless claims of mobile phones, MP3 players and laptops being flushed down toilets or dropped in the bath.
