SWIP appoints global equities director

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has appointed Michael McNaught-Davis as an investment director in its global equities team.

He takes responsibility for analysing the pharmaceuticals sector on the Japan and global desks. McNaught-Davis joins SWIP following six years at Martin Currie Asset Management where he managed stocks on the global and Japan desks. He previously worked as an investment director at F&C Asset Management after starting his career at Morgan Grenfell Asset Management. The appointment, which brings SWIP’s global equities team to 12, follows the additions of Simon Moss and Nick Ford to the US equities team and Fraser Laird and Stephen Hall to Japanese equities last September.
