Standard Life International Ltd (SLIL) has made its first step into the offshore investment market with the launch of an International bond.
The bond will be sold and administered from SLIL’s recently established offshore base in Dublin, and will be available to all UK residents and companies. Although the offshore market is quite mature, Murray Drummond, chief executive of SLIL, says the company was attracted to the market for two main reasons. One is that the market is becoming more mainstream, with sales volumes increasing significantly over the past few years.
