Progress takes family income benefit online

Progress from Royal Liver is adding family income benefit to its e-only menu range, which can be completed through to risk via The Exchange.

Launching on Monday 13th June, the product is thought to be the first FIB policy available on the IFA portal which uses straight-through-processing to complete the application process online. Moreover, Progress is using the launch of this product to test its underwriting further, as the firm is able to cut back on medical information needed to complete the application. At roadshows held earlier this year, Debbie Smith, chief underwriter at Royal Liver, argued there was less need to gather medical information on younger people which is likely to be irrelevant to their case at that age....
