Katherine Garrett-Cox is leaving Morley after almost three years at the firm to take a similar role at Alliance Trust.
Garrett-Cox’s shift to Morley hit the headlines in 2004 when she left Aberdeen Asset Management where she had also been CIO. In her latest move, Garrett-Cox – also dubbed “Katherine the Great” by the City - will join Dundee-based Alliance Trust as group executive director and chief investment officer in March, and takes up her role following Alliance Trust’s recent launch of AT Asset Management, its Hong Kong-based boutique, the acquisition of private equity house Albany Ventures and its merger with Second Alliance Trust.
