Offshore expansion beckons for Standard Life

Standard Life is entering the offshore market to target tax efficiency business at UK clients.

Full details of the new launch are not available at this stage, but Iain McLeod, marketing manager at Standard Life, says the group is launching a Dublin-based offshore division which aims to sell back into the UK consumer market. This division’s primary product will be an offshore life assurance bond, says McLeod, with marketing and promotion set to begin from August. Standard Life already targets at the European market, as well as through its Asian and India operations.
