London's key FTSE 100 index closed virtually unchanged today up 0.3 points at 4,820.1.

Man Group gained 29p to 1,467p AstraZenica hung on to early gains, closing up 10p at 1,887p. Rio Tinto led the mining sector with an 8p gain to 1,530p. BOC, which supplies gasses to steelmakers, gained 3.5p to 993p. Cairn Energy fell 15p to 1,077p as investors mulled the company's exposure to Indian and other Asian oil fields possibly hit by the recent tidal wave that swept across the Indian Ocean. IFAonline
