Actuary targets IFAs with longevity calculator

Actuarial firm Spence & Partners has launched a longevity calculator for financial advisers and their clients.

The calculator is free to download from the firm's website. It provides a probability of survival to each age based on specific ages for single and joint lives. The tool allows the adviser to choose a heavy, light or national average mortality table to reflect regional and individual variations. Advisers can also make assumptions about the potential future improvements to life expectancy.
