Baillie Gifford hires new Euro and Pacific managers

Baillie Gifford has appointed new managers to its European and Pacific OEIC sub funds.

Peter Hollis will replace Michael MacPhee as co-manager of the Baillie Gifford European fund, an OEIC sub-fund of the Baillie Gifford Overseas Growth Funds ICVC. Hollis, who became a Partner in 2002 joined Baillie Gifford in 1989 and became a partner in 2002. He was part of the UK Equity and the North American investment teams before joining the European team in 2004. He will co-manage the European fund with existing co-manager John Burke together with Angus Franklin. Angus is a qualified Chartered Accountant who joined Baillie Gifford in 1994.
