The FTSE 100 Index fell 7 points, or 0.1%, to 5,771 points today, led by Vodafone.
Vodafone fell 0.44% to 113.50p after corporate governance adviser Pensions and Investment Research Consultants advised shareholders to vote against its remuneration report at next week’s AGM. JP Morgan downgraded the oil industry to “neutral” from “positive”, one week after crude prices rocketed to record highs. The broker also cut back BP to “neutral” from “overweight” arguing there are risks in the near term. BP shares fell 0.95% to 625p. The miners had mixed results, with Xstrata up 0.50% to 2,015p, BHP Billiton flat at 1,041p and Anglo American down 0.64% to 2,173p. PartyGaming ga...
