In the UK, the FTSE 100 index has lost a point in early trading to 5107.80, led by BOC Group.
The natural gas firm has shed about 17p to 1008p, along with gas and shipping firm, BG Group, down 6.25p to 458.50p, after analysts raised a share-price target on BG 20% to 480p yesterday. Wolseley, a distributor of plumbing and heating equipment, has also lost 14p to 1167p this morning. At the other end of the table, mobile firm O2 has added 4p to 136.25p, over rumours of a bid from Deutsche Telekom.
