Structured note 'offers benefit of hindsight'

A structured product with an inbuilt ‘hindsight' feature designed to reduce the risk of investors mis-timing their entry into the market has been launched.

Merchant Securities says its FTSE 100 Hindsight Note offers investors a way to hedge against the current volatility experienced in UK large cap equity markets. The hindsight feature works by ensuring the growth over the life of the product is measured from the lowest point of 12 monthly observation dates in the first year.
