Richard Hambro loses cancer battle

Richard Hambro, founder of JO Hambro Investment Management, has died following a lengthy battle with cancer.

The 62-year-old, also a non-executive director of Money Portal, died at his home on Saturday (25 April). He stepped down as chairman of Money Portal in March, a position he had held for five years, as he continued his battle with ill health. Alan Easter, Money Portal group head of distribution, says: "We are desperately sad at this news. Richard has been with Money Portal since inception and was a significant supporter of the business.
