UK property stocks will stabilise by the middle of the year and make a gradual recovery in the second half of 2008, according to Retia, an education and awareness campaign for REITs.
The predictions were made as part of Reita’s first quarterly property investment perspective, released today. The report says UK property stocks are currently trading at a discount to net asset value (NAV) of 20%, which Reita says has narrowed considerably from 35% in mid-November. Reita claims the narrowing has been partially caused by falling NAVs, but is also due to a moderate rally among stocks.
