Fidelity passes UK growth batton to Moreno

Frederic Gautier is leaving Fidelity International "to pursue other investment opportunities" so Carlos Moreno has taken over as manager of the Fidelity UK growth fund.

Gautier has managed a range of retail and institutional funds for Fidelity since joining as an analyst in 1993, and took over management of the European larger companies fund shortly after its launch in 2002 - which will now be managed by Thomas Fraenkel-Thornet – as well as contributed to the running of the Edinburgh investment trust (EIT). Moreno took over management of the £789m UK growth fund from the 1st January, according to Fidelity’s website, and this is his first position as manager of a UK onshore retail fund, but has been running institutional money for two years.
