FTSE parties at Easter

The FTSE 100 Index gained 28.60 points, or 0.48%, to 6,029.40 points today led by PartyGaming.

PartyGaming rose 4.66% to 151.75p as traders chose to get in ahead of next Tuesday’s first quarter key performance indicators. Numis also upped its price target to 201p from 159p. Rolls Royce gained 2.56% to 480p after it proposed to address its pensions deficit by making a contribution of £500m across its three pension schemes. Hedge-fund manager Man Group also rose 4.28% to 2,557p after it announced its latest product launch raised more than $2.3bn of client money, well above estimates of around $2bn. But oil companies headed sharply lower after the price of a barrel of oil fell ...
