Some 42% of the UK adult population has no life cover, yet three-quarters of these people have a mortgage or dependents, according to research from IFA Promotion.
Also strange is the finding that more people over the age of 60 have no life cover than those in the 30 to 50-year-old bracket, again, despite three quarters of these people having mortgages and dependents. The good news is that nearly 40% of those promted by an IFA would take out life insurance, IFA Promotion’s research suggests, against just 12% of those prompted by family and friends. IFAonline
