Advisers get technology boost from roadshows

The confidence of advisers attending 1st-The Exchange's technology roadshows was boosted by up to 26% by the end of the sessions.

Over 300 delegates attending the firm's technology roadshows were asked to grade themselves in their proficiency to use technology in the adviser business process, before the educational sessions started. The 'Grade Yourself' research revealed only 14% of intermediaries would award themselves an A or A* grade in using technology in their roles, when polled at the onset of the roadshow. It also found, approximately 43% of advisers thought they would obtain a B grade, while 36% considered themselves at C level. Worryingly, 7% thought they would fail or receive unclassified results.
