Rockingham Retirement has scrapped its administration fee on smaller pension pots it announced today.
The move has received the support of independent policy adviser Dr Ros Altmann, who says it will help those facing retirement who have seen their pension pots ravaged by the economic crisis. Previously, Rockingham had charged a £195 administration fee to broker annuities for all pension pots of £20,000 or less. With both pension pots and annuity rates hit by the recession, Rockingham says it is vital for consumers to get the best deal available on their annuity and seek independent advice.
