The FTSE 100 index fell 11.20 points, or 0.2%, to 6,204 points today, with DSG International leading the fallers.
Electricals retailer DSG International fell 11.97% to £1.71 after it revealed sales at its Currys chain were disappointing in the run-up to Christmas, while sales in France and Italy will not meet expectations this year. Miners also took a battering as metal prices dropped again, with Lonmin down 2.10% to £27.97, Anglo American down 2.14% to £23.34 and Antofagasta 0.33% lower at £4.47. Lloyds TSB declined 1.02% to £5.84 after UBS cut it to “reduce” from “neutral”.
