Pictet roots out opps with Timber launch

Pictet Funds (PF) has branched out with the launch of the (LUX) Timber fund in the fast-growing green investment area.

The fund distribution company of Swiss private bank Pictet & Cie has added the timber fund to its range of theme and sector products. This already includes specialist funds in biotechnology, water, clean energy and digital communications. Until now, investment in timberland and wood products has been pursued through private equity, yielding attractive long term returns with low correlation and diversification benefits.
