Scott returns to F&C but will not manage funds

F&C stalwart Ted Scott is set to return to the asset manager following a period of ill health, but will no longer run any funds.

Scott is due to rejoin the team in June and will instead provide macro-economic analysis and advice on market strategy for the UK equities desk. Hilary Aldridge, who has been deputy fund manager alongside Scott on the F&C UK Growth & Income fund since 2005, and who has co-managed the fund on a caretaker basis since November 2008, has been appointed lead manager. The vehicle is third quartile with a return of -29.32% over one year to 6 May 2009, according to Lipper.
