Santander Asset Management has appointed Melanie Newton as an equity dealer in its UK equities team.
The appointment comes as Santander prepares to bring the Abbey National UK Growth fund and Abbey National UK Equity fund management back in house. Newton joins from Hermes, where she was a European equity dealer for almost five years. Before joining Hermes she worked at Capital International as a trader in European markets for almost four years.
