Negative trading in the US has spooked the FTSE 100 index this morning, so currently trading 22.3 points lower to 4,870.1 points.
Metal producer Corus, down 1.75p to 42.75, paces the UK benchmark while mining firm Antofagasta has lost 37p to £11.18. High street retailer, Dixons meanwhile, has advanced 5p to 146.5p, as the group does not expect analysts to change its profit estimates. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 Stock Average declined for a third day, down 0.4% to 11,120.7 at its close early this morning, paced by DoCoMo.
