Alliance Trust expands into Asia

Alliance Trust is widening its range of investments offered and opening an asset management business aimed at retail and institutional clients.

Having recently completed the merger with Wolanski & Co Trustees – now renamed the Alliance Trust Pensions – Alliance is seeking a larger position in the investment community and expanding its operation to first launch a series of Asian funds. More specifically, AT Asset Management is expected to receive its Hong Kong-based licence soon, and the boutique will first launch and distribute a range of Asia-Pacific investments – the Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan) equity fund and a Japanese equity fund, once FSA approval is given.
