Smith & Williamson plans Dublin office

Smith & Williamson plans to open a Dublin-based private client wealth management service this spring.

The move follows last years merger with Oilver Freaney & Company, a firm of accountants, tax and business advisers also based in Dublin. Smith & Williamson will continue to advise clients from Ireland on investment issues from its head office in London until the Dublin service is operational. "Private clients in Ireland have endured a very difficult couple of years, so we believe that our approach and expertise will be a welcome alternative in the face of an uncertain future," said Christopher Kenny, director with Smith & Williamson Investment Management.
