Cofunds adds Templeton Global Bond fund

Franklin Templeton Investments' Luxembourg-registered Templeton Global Bond fund has been added to Cofunds' offshore fund platform.

The move allows UK investors to access the fund's sterling-denominated distributor class shares. Managed by Dr Michael Hasenstab, senior vice-president, Franklin Templeton Fixed Income Group, the fund mainly invests in the debt obligations and securities of governments, or government-related issued worldwide. The $9.6bn fund returned 236.39% from its inception in February 1991 to 30 September 2008.
