Peter Bourne has been appointed managing director of Ashburton, taking over from Trevor Falle, who will continue in his role chief executive of FirstRand International Asset Management (FRIAM), Ashburton's holding company.
In his role, Falle, who will remain on the Ashburton executive board, will be focused on further developing FRIAM and Ashburton’s international reach, with an initial emphasis on the Middle East and Asia. Bourne has 24 years experience as an investment professional in South Africa, 20 years of that with the FirstRand Group. Most recently, he has been running the investment division of the FirstRand Group’s Wealth Division.
