SII promotes qualification for international investment professionals

The Hong Kong Securities Institute (HKSI) has joined forces with the UK's Securities & Investment Institute (SII) to promote the SII Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ) to professionals in the Hong Kong and international investment industry.

Gary Cheung, chief executive at HKSI, said the move is in response to the staffing gap in operations identified in an HKSI research study in June. "The gap is a structural issue that needs to be addressed," he said. The IAQ is the leading qualification for those working in the global finance and investment industry and has attracted increasing numbers of candidates in Singapore, India and other parts of Asia.
