JFSC searches for non-exec chairman

Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) has commenced its search for a successor to its current chairman Colin Powell.

Powell is due to retire in September this year after a decade in the role. JFSC's deputy chairman Jacqueline Richomme says Powell is a cornerstone of Jersey's finance industry. "Internationally, he has represented the interests and views, not only of Jersey, but of all reputable offshore financial centres, as chairman of the Offshore Group of Banking Supervisors," she says.
