Keydata International launches renewables fund

Keydata International has launched a Cayman Islands-domiciled renewables fund.

The Keydata International Renewable Energy fund invests in the development and operation of a series of small-scale renewable energy power plants (REPPs) in the UK, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Spain. Renewable energy has a low correlation to equities; ideal in recessionary times, according to the firm. In the past six years, renewable energy (all-in electric price) rocketed in value by 76.72%, compared with a FTSE All-Share return of 11.45% between 2002 and 2008.
