Interest in Gulf region grows

Pension funds are increasingly demanding investment opportunities in the Gulf region, a survey by exchange traded funds provider Lyxor has shown. The research, in which 20 of the top 100 UK pension funds were interviewed, found 45% believed that over the next five years, stock market returns in the Gulf region would be good or excellent. Only 4% expected them to be poor. Over the next three years, 50% expect to increase their exposure to the region.
