The proposed sale of the Isle of Man-based Singer & Friedlander Trust Company to Anglo Irish Bank has fallen through. But industry sources have suggested Singer & Friedlander is in discussions with at least one other interested party over acquiring the trust company. The failure of the two companies to reach agreement quickly followed the announcement that Icelandic bank Kaupthing was to buy the Singer & Friedlander Group.
