HSBC Global Asset Management has made Guy Morrell head of its multimanager business for the UK and Middle East & North Africa (Mena) region. A property specialist, Morrell also manages the HSBC Open Global Property fund of funds. In the UK & Mena role, Morrell replaces James Hughes, who has relocated to Hong Kong to become head of multimanager, Asia Pacific. Hughes retains his role as global head of business development for HSBC's multimanager team. The other regional heads are Raphael Sobotka, for Europe, and Lane Prenevost, for the Americas.
