As we approach the end of the tax year, thoughts usually turn to putting as much money as possible into pension plans. This year, however, there appears to be as much interest in changes to the rules on taking money out of pension schemes. There are several media campaigns, alongside continued lobbying by a variety of interested parties, for the Government to remove the compulsion to purchase an annuity at age 75.
