The capacity of film partnerships is expected to be no more than £500m-£600m this tax year, following changes made in the last Budget which restrict tax relief to films. Martin Churchill, editor of the Tax Efficient Review, said last year saw around £1.6bn of income or capital gains put into schemes with around 70% of this going into television projects. Although he expects capacity to be reduced, he still expects demand for film partnerships to be substantial.
