American Express Asset Management International has appointed Mark Burgess as chief investment officer. Burgess joined the group in August 2001 as deputy chief investment officer and head of European equities. The group has also appointed two senior analysts to the European team, Martin Skanberg from SEB Asset Management and Nick Longhurst from Schroder Investment Management.
