The Association of Independent Financial Advisers (Aifa), has appointed Ivan Martin, executive chairman of Sesame, as deputy chairman of the Aifa Council. Martin will serve alongside Amanda Davidson. The decision was made after a corporate governance review to ensure Aifa was providing the best service to its members identified a second deputy chairman role should be established, to support Aifa's independent chairman John Gummer MP.
