The cost of life cover has fallen by around 40% over the last few years and consumers could be wasting thousands of pounds by not reviewing their policies, according to brokers LifeSearch. Throughout 2008 life insurance has continued to fall, along with critical illness cover. Income protection has remained relatively static, but it is still possible to save money, especially if the policy was not one of the cheapest on the market originally. LifeSearch added many people have given up smoking for over the last 12 months and could potentially find a cheaper premium.
