Fortis Insurance is to become the new provider for UK Underwriting. In a five-year deal, said to be worth £50m in annual gross written premiums, Fortis Insurance will underwrite UK Underwriting's product range, including home, travel and events insurances. Barry Smith, chief executive officer of the provider, said that he supported Fortis Insurance's UK strategy by widening its distribution channels.
