Bupa has launched Additional Health to help meet the cost of items unavailable on the NHS. It is aimed at individual and corporate clients and is designed to help more employers promote health and wellbeing in the workplace. It offers 100% cashback on prescriptions and includes a helpline service. A plan for a family of four people starts at £6.70 a week on level two cover. The average British household spends around £1,200 a year on "core" health services such as dental, optical and chiropody treatment, according to a recent study by Reform.
