Increasing numbers are seeking international private medical insurance (PMI) as more Britons emigrate, according to Axa. The insurer said it has seen an 11.7% increase in the number of product enquiries in 2007 and a 15% increase in similar enquiries throughout 2008. If this continues, Axa said, it could lead to the number of people leaving the UK exceeding 500,000 this year.
