Positive CI forecast In June 1998, it was predicted growth in the group critical illness (CI) market would take off. This trend was set to continue as employers became more aware of the product and the costs involved. While CI sales were increasing, income protection sales fell. It was also reported that month that Albany International planned to launch into the protection market by the middle of the summer due to IFA demand.
