There are talks of a potential class action lawsuit from Personal Finance Society (PFS) members against the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), PFS member and adviser Alasdair Walker tells Professional Adviser.

Optimum Path Financial Planning managing director and Chartered financial planner Walker has been a Fellow at the PFS since 2017 and has been openly critical since CII member-directors took over the PFS board in late 2022. In its most recent departures from the PFS board, independent chair Christine Elliott, who had returned to the organisation after independent chair Piers White's departure last September after a less than four months-long stint, stepped away in April months after describing PFS/CII tensions as "professionally embarrassing".  PFS chair and president Carla Brown then too...
